Contrary to many projects where clients approach us to carve out an extra room or optimise storage space, this project posed a different challenge - we were asked to reconfigure a 110m2, 3-bedroom apartment into a home with a single bedroom and a large living and working space. Sharing that space with the couple was their extensive art collection.

We envisioned the new layout in two parts - a central functional core containing all storage and systems (bathroom, a small WC, book/record collections, walk-in closet etc) enrobed in a dark walnut veneer and a blank white envelope intended as the backdrop of their art collection.
